No matter what your reason for coming to live at Bosworth we are sure you will want to keep as active as you possibly can. This may be to maintain your strength and mobility or to stimulate your mind and socialise with others. We want to enable you to continue with the hobbies and pastimes you have always enjoyed. To assist with this we offer an extensive range of activities to suit all interests and abilities. Activities range from quizzes, gentle exercise, bowls and arts and crafts, a cinema morning to more energetic things such as walks, outings and gardening and many, many more.
We also have visiting entertainers such as singers, pantomime and the Birds of prey sanctuary.
The choice of whether or not to join in with activities is entirely yours and we always welcome suggestions for new things we can all try.
Relatives, friends and representatives are always encouraged and are welcome to spend as much or as little time as they wish at the home. If desired you are welcome to take part with the caring needs for the client, transport the client to appointments or perhaps organise a day trip for the client. We welcome telephone calls to the client at any time agreeable to the client. Should clients be unable to manage their own monies, we are happy to keep a small amount in the safe for them for hairdressing, chiropody and other sundries.
The home's success is based on involving staff, clients and their families in the planning and implementation of care, leading to greater client and staff satisfaction.
All visitors to the home are expected to sign in when visiting. The visitors' book is situated in the entrance hall. Visiting hours are at any time in agreement with the client. We operate an 'Open House' policy.
